Saturday, March 31 at 2:00 pm ~ Join Yarmouth Historical Society and “Forecaster Jack” Sillin for the next installment in the Yarmouth Stories series on Saturday, March 31 at 2:00 pm.
Yarmouth’s own Forecaster Jack has been sharing “reliably hype-free” local weather information from his own blog for many years. He writes: “I came up with the idea for a blog soon after I became interested in the atmosphere back in 2007 when the Patriots Day storm rolled up the coast. I vividly remember standing in front of the computer looking at the radar and then checking it against what was happening outside.” Forecaster Jack is currently a senior in high school and is planning a career in meteorology. He’ll be with us to talk about the weather and his path to becoming a self-proclaimed “weather geek.”
This program is free and open to the public and will be held at the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street.
