Now open!
We have been busy working behind the scenes during our COVID closure and are pleased to reopen to the public on Tuesday, July 21 with the following procedures and policies. Please note that due to the evolving nature of the pandemic, these plans are subject to change. Please check our website or call (207-846-6259) for up-to-date information.
Our new hours are Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00 until 4:00. When you visit the History Center, please wear a mask and observe physical distancing. A mask will be provided to you if you do not have one. All staff will also be masked and observing physical distancing and will be disinfecting commonly-touched surfaces. Per State recommendations, we are limiting the number of guests in the museum to five at any given time. Restrooms are closed to the public at this time.
Our gift shop is closed to browsing, but visitors may ask staff for assistance in selecting and purchasing items. A small selection of our most popular items is posted on our website for phone orders (207-846-6259) and curbside pickup.
If you have a research request, please call (207-846-6259) or email (info@yarmouthmehistory.org) with the details of your request. A staff member will follow up with you to answer your question or facilitate access to the requested resources.
We are still accepting donations of local history items by appointment. Please call ahead (207-846-6259) or email (kworthing@yarmouthmehistory.org) to discuss your proposed donation with our Director and to schedule a time to drop it off.
We are not currently accepting rental requests for the Hamill Room.
