Do you love historic houses? Would you like to help out at one of Yarmouth Historical Society’s key fundraisers and have an opportunity to tour seven beautiful homes in one of Yarmouth’s historic neighborhoods? Join us as a volunteer!
We are currently seeking volunteer docents for our Historic House Tour, set to take place from 10:00-3:00 on Saturday, September 17. Volunteer shifts run from 9:45-12:30 and 12:30-3:00. Docents will be stationed in one of the seven houses on the tour to assist with welcoming visitors, guiding them through the site, providing information about the house and its history, and helping to keep the property and visitors safe. Docents will be provided with historical information about their assigned house prior to the tour and will also have the opportunity to purchase a half-price ticket ($15) for the tour to enjoy all of the other properties before or after their shift.
