Tuesday, March 2 at 2:00 pm ~ We are pleased to partner with the Fortnightly Club of Yarmouth to offer a free talk on our National Park System on Thursday, March 2 at 2:00. The featured speaker is Gretchen Long, current member of the National Park System Advisory Board. She will present an overview of the park system, which celebrated its centennial in August 2016, and an insider’s view of this unique facet of America.
For 25 years, Long has had a distinguished role as a leader in the conservation community. She is past chair and trustee emeritus of the National Park Conservation Association and has chaired boards for many other conservation nonprofits. She is a graduate of the Harvard Business School. The program is free and open to the public and will be held at Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street.
