Summer Internship Opportunity, 2025
Yarmouth Historical Society invites applications for a part-time paid summer internship at the Yarmouth History Center. This grant-funded position is open to current high school juniors attending a Yarmouth school and provides wide-ranging experience in small museum and nonprofit operations. The intern will learn about museum practices, including cataloguing and archiving, curatorial activities, and research, and will assist in the day-to-day operations of a busy history center. The intern will also have the opportunity to take on a research project that suits their interests, with the goal of writing an article for our fall newsletter.
The position is 18 hours per week over the course of 6 weeks with some flexibility in scheduling. The pay rate is $14.65/hour. The anticipated start date is late June.
