On view now! Stop by soon to see the Stonewall Gallery’s newest show, Ephemeral by Freeport artist Shelley Breton.
Recently named one of Maine’s most collectible artists by Art Maine magazine, Shelley Breton is a self-taught artist who has been painting and studying in oils for over 10 years. Her works, including land and seascapes, still lifes, and figural studies, are often suffused with the distinctive early or late-day light of coastal Maine. Breton credits her professional scientific background with helping her appreciate the natural world, both the seen and the unseen. She says, “There is amazing complexity, variety and intelligent design all around us.”
Ephemeral by Shelley Breton will be on view at the Stonewall Gallery through May 4, 2019. The Gallery is located inside the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10-5.
