Stop by the Stonewall Gallery this season to see our latest exhibit, Horticultural Art, featuring the incredibly lush and detailed botanical photography of Westbrook artist Fred Michel. The show opens on Friday, November 12 and runs through January 7.
Fred Michel enjoys the process of cultivating plants and the resulting beauty and mystery that exists in his microcosm of manipulated nature. “The genesis of my work is the garden and what grows there. I gather plants or pieces of them. From the collected plants and plant materials, I design and create still-life images.” Michel’s photographs offer an intimate view of the beautiful bounty he finds in his garden and in nature.
The Stonewall Gallery is located within the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street in Yarmouth and is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
