Last year a team of garden volunteers, led by Yarmouth Historical Society Trustee Pam Adams, launched a spring clean-up that prepared the Center’s garden for summer. Thanks to Pam and her team the coneflower (Echinacea) blooms last summer were dazzling and the number of bees and butterflies that visited the garden was equally spectacular.
We have exciting plans to continue this success this year, with a fresh new planting plan designed by local landscape designer Susan Parrish Carter. Would you like to help us make this plan a reality and learn more about Susan’s thoughtful approach to our front garden? Please contact Katie Worthing (kworthing@yarmouthmehistory.org or 207-846-6259) to be added to our list of volunteers. We’ll contact you later in the spring when we’re ready to get to work!
Please note: The volunteer gathering planned for 10:00 am on Thursday, March 19 has been postponed due to coronavirus concerns.
