Stop in soon to see the Stonewall Gallery’s newest show, Bridges of Friendship. This photography exhibition showcases works by members of the Portland Camera Club and Photo Club SPOLOKHI of Archangel, Russia.
Bridges of Friendship celebrates the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Greater Portland, Maine, and Archangel, Russia and includes 60 photographs: 30 from Maine and 30 from Archangel. Established in 1987, the linkage between the two cities is intended to promote exchanges and “to provide opportunities for Russians and Americans to share time, ideas, and the best of our communities; to bring true friendship and understanding to our peoples; and to improve the chances for world peace through citizen diplomacy.” The works shown in Yarmouth will also be exhibited in Archangel.
Bridges of Friendship will be on view at the Stonewall Gallery through January 5, 2019. The Gallery is located inside the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10-5.
