Join us on Thursday, August 17 at 7:00 pm, to hear from Maine author Colin Sargent, who will speak about and read from his new book, The Boston Castrato. The novel centers on Raffi Peach, Italy’s last castrato, who is exiled to the US in the 1920s, where he makes his way to Boston. It has been praised by reviewers for its beautiful prose, rich characters, and vivid historical setting. This event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street.
