Looking for a dose of bright color as we await the arrival of spring? Stop by the Stonewall Gallery at Yarmouth History Center to see fresh contemporary quilts by the members of Art Quilts Maine. For this show, members were challenged to work with tessellations or to create a quilt inspired by a master artist. The result is a panoply of rich color and texture and inspiration ranging from Raphael to Monet. Art Quilts Maine is dedicated to supporting members in their exploration of contemporary quilt art, inspiring creativity and individuality, and promoting the understanding, appreciation, and recognition of contemporary quilters in the state of Maine.
The Art Quilts Maine show will be on view at the Stonewall Gallery through April 30, 2021. The Gallery is located inside the Yarmouth History Center at 118 East Elm Street and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Masks are required to enter.
